LumiTracker^® Myelin Cyan is a fluorescent myelin probe that selectively labels intact myelin sheaths in the central nervous system. The dye produces staining patterns closely matching those obtained with myelin basic protein (MBP) immunostaining and preferentially labels compact myelin in white matter tracts.

Unlike conventional myelin stains, LumiTracker^® Myelin Cyan readily crosses the blood-brain barrier and accumulates in the brain following intravenous administration. This property enables direct visualization of myelinated structures in vivo and ex vivo, making the probe suitable for studies of myelin distribution and integrity.

LumiTracker^® Myelin Cyan fluorescence is markedly reduced in demyelinated tissue and in myelin-deficient animal models, allowing reliable detection of demyelinating lesions. These characteristics make LumiTracker^® Myelin Cyan a valuable tool for investigating myelin pathology and monitoring demyelination in experimental models of neurological disease.
