The new school year – with new paints in a briefcase!
The season of vacations is over, and new scientific discoveries are ahead. Especially for the beginning of the new school year, we added a set of new dyes for cell staining to our catalog.
Membrane StainsThe palette of PKH membrane stains has been replenished with green (PKH2) and near-infrared (PKH800) colors. PKH dyes contain lipophilic groups, allowing them to quickly integrate into the cell membranes of almost any cell. They do not affect the functioning of cellular receptors and transmembrane proteins and allow cells to retain their biological properties and ability to proliferate. |
Nuclear StainsNow, the nuclei of fixed and dead cells can be stained in any color. We have expanded our range of nuclear stains with green (YODi-1, TODi-1), red (YODi-3) and far-red (TODi-3) colors. Carbocyanine dimeric dyes are ideal for staining nucleic acids on microarrays and cell nuclei due to their bright signal and low background fluorescence. These dyes do not penetrate live cells, are not cytotoxic, and can be used for long-term monitoring of cell viability. |
Organelle StainsMake the endoplasmic reticulum in live cells visible with our new stains, LumiTracker ER Green and LumiTracker ER Red. LumiTracker ER are derivatives of glibenclamide and BDP dyes. They binds to sulfonylurea receptors of ATP-sensitive potassium channels, which are prominent in the endoplasmic reticulum. These stains penetrate into living cells and retain fluorescence after fixation. |
